Series Rules -

The race director is the sole authority regarding the interpretation and what the intent of the rule is. In the absence of the race director or the assistant race director, the series promoter will fill that responsibility.

First offence = loss of all points and money for that event.
Second offence = loss of 50% of season points earned.
Third offence = loss of all season points.


LLMRS RACE OPERATIONS GUIDELINES
  1. FLAGS

Green – Start, track is clear begin racing.
Yellow – Caution, stop racing and carefully slow down to pace car speed, watch for obstacles.
Red – Come to a controlled stop. Do not move your car until directed by an official. You may not work on your car.
Black - Report to the pit road, you have incurred a penalty or have something wrong with your car.
If you do not report to the pits within 2 laps we will stop scoring your car, and you will forfeit 50% of your payout for the night.
Blue/Yellow - Hold your line the leaders are passing.
WHITE – One lap remaining.
Checkered – Race is over, reduce speed and drive to the pits. Winner and selected cars come back to the starting line.

  1. RESTARTS

[a] After the official start of the race, (one lap completed)
If racing is stopped for any reason the restart will be single file.
 
[b] You cannot advance your position until the start/finish line.

 [c] You may not advance your position or drive to the inside of any car before or in the first turn.

[d] We will count the first 2 laps under Caution, you must hold your position.  All cars involved in a wreck or spin will be sent to the back of the field.

[e] Line up will revert back to the last completed green flag lap.

[f] In the event of a caution at the end of the race, the race will finish with a Green – White – Checkered.

  1. SPOTTERS

[a] At least one spotter is required for each car. The spotter must be able to talk to the driver.

[b] During the race events a spotter must be in the spotters area with the car number on his/her back.

  1. GENERAL INFORMATION

[a] Finishing order will be posted at the track at the end of the race.
 
[b] Driver may request a review of the finishing order, this request must be made by Monday at 1600 hrs. (4:00 pm) following the race in question. Requests after that time will not be honored and the points and payout will stand.

[c] Payouts will be mailed via USPS on Tuesday following the race. You must address an envelope when you register for the event, we will use that envelope to mail your payout.

[d] Points are awarded to the car number.

[e] Aggressive driving will not be tolerated

[f] Aggressive language or behavior by a driver or team member toward an official will be fined at $25.00 from the team payout for that night. Second offence, the person will have their pit pass voided and the team fined again.

[g] Fighting, vulgar language, and inappropriate gestures will not be tolerated.
     [1] Fighting, will be cause to remove you from
          competition. You will receive no refunds or payouts.
     [2] Vulgar language or gestures will be cause for fine of
           the team/driver payout in the amount of $25.

[h] The Race Director is the governing authority for all LLMRS race day issues. His/her ruling is final and can not challenged.


LLMRS PIT & SAFETY PROCEDURES

  1. ARRIVAL

[A] When you arrive at the track go to the pit entrance and buy your pit pass from the race track.
You may also be required to rent a transducer at some tracks.

[b] Unload your equipment.

[c] Locate the LLMRS table and pay your entry fee ($40), tire stamp fees ($10 ea) if needed, and draw your qualifying order chip. You will receive tickets for your paid stamp fees, announcer info form, and a tech sheet.

[d] Place your car on 4 jack stands, remove the hood and rear deck access cover.
Make sure that your helmet, seat belts, window net, and fire extinguisher gauge and labels can be read.
Find a tech official from LLMRS and present your tech sheet, they will check your car for safety issues at this time.
You may not enter the race track for practice until this is done.
It is your responsibility to get your tech sheet back from the official; you must have it each time you go thru tech.

  1. PIT OPERATIONS

[A] When practice is over, the driver and spotter must attend the pit meeting. There will be 2 meetings the first will be the race track meeting and then the LLMRS meeting.

[b] For Qualifying; You must bring your car to the LLMRS Tech line in the order you are to qualify. SET YOUR TIRE PRESSURES TO: 20 lbs. on the left side and 30 lbs on the right side. Be sure you have your tech sheet.

[c] Fail to pass this tech inspection, you will have to fix the problem, get re-inspected, and you loose 1 qualifying lap.

[d] Main event; You must bring your car to the tech line in your running order. SET YOUR TIRE PRESSURES TO: 20 lbs. on the left side and 30 lbs on the right side. Be sure you have your tech sheet.

[e] Fail to pass this tech inspection, you will have to fix the problem, get re-inspected, and you will start in the back of the field.

[f] After tech inspection for qualifying or main event you may not work on or make adjustments to your car without the Race Directors approval. Except that you may adjust tire pressures.


1) BODY
1-A)      Rear wheel drive sedan & pick-up
1-B)      Ride and body height 4” min.
1-C)      Min. Weight 3000 lbs.
1-D)      57% left side max. 50% rear max.
1-E)      Fiberglass body forward of doors mandatory.
         Aftermarket Aluminum bodies allowed (i.e.-ARP or 5-Star bodies).
1-F)      No external bumpers or nurf bars.
1-G)      Spoiler 6.5” tall and 60” wide max.
1-H)      Windshield mandatory 1/8” lexan or equivalent.
1-I)       All body parts must be ford to ford or chevy to chevy etc.
1-J)       Min. Wheel base 101”, max track width 69” center to center

2) WHEELS & TIRES

2-A)      Nu-tread recap 10" max., Available at Nu-tread.  To order tires call Nu-tread @ 253-572-9063 -
Main event and qualifying tires must have LLMRS stamp, available at the race track on race day only, $10.00 each tire.
John Boyatt has offered to bring tires to the track at a cost of $5.00 per tire. John will call Nu-tread on Friday before the race to see if he needs to pick up tires for the race. You must order your tires by Thursday when Nu–tread closes or they will not be there.
2-B)      Steel wheel 10” wide max. {must be a racing wheel)
2-C)      No tire softeners allowed, and we will check.
2-D)      You must start the main on the tires that you qualify on.


3) FRAME & SUSPENSION
3-A)     Any fabricated stock car frame allowed, director must approve.
* This clarification is to include fabricated front clips. As long as the front inner pivot points are not wider than a stock Camaro front clip and the springs are sitting in the unmodified spring pockets of the unmodified lower “A” Arm the clip is allowed. Inner pivots must be centered within 1” of Crankshaft. Crankshaft must be within 1” of track width. Height adjustment of the inner pivots is not allowed. They too must match the Camaro. Front spring angles must be vertical within reason. Director must approve. The intent of this rule is to allow replacement clips i.e. Howe, Lefthander etc. Because Camaro clips are getting harder to find.

3-B)     Stock front clip may be modified for height of engine on top of cross member and in spring pocket areas. MUST use Stock Type Lower “A” Arms, no modifications except shock mounts and screw in ball joints..  Director must approve.
3-C)     No rack and pinion unless supplied OEM on stock front clip then must use OEM rack and stock clip.
3-D)     Four, non externally adjustable shocks, max. Must require shock body disassembly to make changes, Gas pressure or valve adjustments not allowed on race day. Must change entire shock. No coil over's.
3-E)     Must have steel roll cage 1 ¾” x .095 round tube, no pipe. Director must approve.
3-F)      Floater rear end mandatory. Quick change allowed
3-G)     Wide five Hubs allowed
3-H)     Steering universals must NOT be stock type or block and pin type. True universals only.

4) ENGINE
4-A)      No aluminum blocks.
4-B)      360 cubic inch maximum. 
4-C)      No dry sump oil systems, external pumps allowed, no external oil storage. Oil must remain in pan.
4-D)      No overhead cams. Any cam drive allowed.
4-E)      OEM heads or world product sportsman II.
Porting allowed on OEM heads.
4-F)      No aluminum heads or dart heads, Except CRATE Motor
4-G)       One carburetor, 750 cfm max, 1 11/16” plate bore max. 1” spacer under carb allowed.
4-H)      No roller cams. Flat tappet only. (we will check) Except CRATE Motor
4-I)      Engine setback 2” from the seat of front most spark plug.
4-J)        Crankshaft center height to ground 10” min.
4-K)        604 Chevrolet Crate Motor Allowed, must have seals in place.

5) TRANSMISSION & CLUTCH
5-A)      ANY transmission.
5-B)      Must have 2 forward gears and reverse.
5-C)     Must use approved scatter shield for clutches over 7.5" diameter. Reverse bell housingallowed for clutches 7.5" or under.
5-D)      Any Clutch/Flywheel.

6) FUEL SYSTEM

6-A)      Gasoline fuel only, no performance additives.
6-B)      Must have fuel cell enclosed in min, 20 gauge steel box. Director must approve.
6-C)      Fuel cell ground clearance 10” min.
6-D)      Must have protector bar behind fuel cell.


7) EXHAUST
7-A)      Must have muffler. 95db @ 100’ - {we have a db meter}
7-B)      Exhaust must exit outside drivers compartment

8) GENERAL SAFETY

8-A)      Radio communication with driver required. LLMRS officials will do a random check during the course of the event. Failure to show proper radio communication when required will result in mechanical flag until communication is proven restored.
8-B)      3” racing belts not over 5 years old. 5 point.
8-C)      Head restraint system required.
8-D)      Window net required
8-E)      Master battery shut off required. Within reach of driver and outside emergency personnel.
8-F)        Fire extinguisher required. On board system recommended
8-G)      Two throttle return springs required.
8-H)      Radiator catch can required.
8-I)        Roll bars must be padded to protect driver from impact.
8-J)        Steel plate welded to door bars on drivers side to protect driver from bumpers etc. In case of impact. Director must approve.
8-K)      Full fire suit, overall or pants and jacket type, racing gloves and shoes. 3 layer recommended.
8-L)        Helmet required. 2000 or newer
8-M)    Age Limit for Minors – 16 years.
       i.    Both Parents must sign Waiver for each Race Track.  Contact Rusty Boyatt @ 253-536-8351 for details.
8-N)    Spotters are required to be in spotters area before car will be allowed to enter race track.


IF IT DOES NOT SEEM SAFE DON'T DO IT.
IF IT DOESN'T SAY YOU CAN, YOU CAN'T.
